Heritage Hands Foundation (HHF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 2024 by a collective of respected and revered Queen Mothers from across Ghana. Under the distinguished leadership of Nana Akosua Agyapomaa Asare I (Madam Joyce Phyllis Ampofo), Oseawuo Divisional Nkosuohemaa of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Area, HHF was established to preserve and promote Ghana’s rich cultural heritage while empowering women and uplifting the next generation.
We are more than an organization—we are a movement of women leaders dedicated to strengthening communities. Through initiatives that blend cultural preservation with modern development needs, HHF ensures that women, children, and families across Ghana have access to education, empowerment, and basic necessities for dignified living.

Our work focuses on practical solutions that meet real community needs:
We are deeply committed to safeguarding Ghana’s rich cultural heritage and traditions. Through cultural exchange programs, advocacy initiatives, and partnerships with traditional leaders, the Foundation works to ensure that Ghana’s identity and values remain strong and visible both locally and internationally. By showcasing Ghanaian arts, language, and customs, HHF promotes pride in our cultural legacy while creating opportunities for the diaspora to remain connected to their roots.
Guided by the wisdom and leadership of Queenmothers, the Foundation provides skills training, mentorship, and community development programs that enable women to become leaders and change-makers. For children, HHF creates safe spaces for learning, growth, and opportunity, ensuring that the next generation is equipped with the tools to thrive. These initiatives not only uplift individuals but also strengthen families and communities across Ghana.
Heritage Hands Foundation champions the right of every girl to access quality education and equal opportunities. Through literacy programs, teacher-librarian training, and initiatives that encourage girls to pursue science, technology, and leadership roles, HHF works to break down barriers to education. By investing in girl-child education, the Foundation is investing in the future of Ghana—nurturing a generation of empowered young women who will drive innovation, equality, and sustainable development.
To be at the forefront of women empowerment, girl-child education, and the promotion of cultural heritage in Ghana and the wider West African sub-region. HHF is also committed to advancing access to clean and portable water, improving sanitation, and supporting environmental sustainability for healthier and stronger communities.
Our vision is to create a nation that is proud of its culture and women—where tradition and progress go hand in hand. HHF seeks to foster unity among Queen Mother associations across West Africa, promoting cultural exchange programs, sharing ideas, and celebrating our diverse heritage as a force for peace, empowerment, and development.
At Heritage Hands Foundation, we believe that Ghana’s rich cultural heritage is not only a national treasure but also a global asset. Our traditions, languages, festivals, arts, and values carry stories that deserve to be shared with the world. By promoting Ghanaian culture internationally, we seek to strengthen national identity, foster cross-cultural understanding, and position Ghana as a key contributor to global cultural exchange. This work ensures that the voices of our ancestors resonate across borders, inspiring unity, pride, and appreciation for African heritage.
To achieve this, we actively engage in partnerships with diaspora communities, international cultural networks, and development agencies that share our vision. Through global festivals, exhibitions, cultural diplomacy, and educational initiatives, we aim to preserve Ghana’s heritage while creating sustainable opportunities for cultural exchange. We invite donors, sponsors, and institutions to join us in safeguarding our traditions and amplifying Ghana’s cultural presence worldwide—together, we can ensure that future generations inherit a legacy of pride and resilience.
